Characterization of gaseous and particulate emissions in the exhaust air
To generate process emissions, the laser process is carried out on-site at the operator’s facilities within a partially closed processing area under realistic conditions. A capturing and suction system is adapted to the processing area, enabling the extraction of substances released from the process zone. For the investigation of the process emissions, a specific measuring cell is integrated into the exhaust channel downstream of the processing cabin. Within this measuring cell, the sampling is performed concerning gases as well as particulate matter, ensuring the conditions of insokinetic partial volume flow extraction for the released particles according to the German rule VDI 2066.
